Sefton Local Medical Committee (LMC) is the elected, statutory body representing and supporting local member GPs in the borough of Sefton.

“The Committee” means the Local Medical Committee formed for the representation of GP’s in the areas defined by the operational boundaries of the South Sefton and Southport and Formby Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) which are within the administrative boundary of the NHS England Mersey LAT or any succeeding organisations. Committee – 2022/25

Sefton LMC is divided into two constituencies representing the areas of South Sefton and Southport & Formby.

Members of the Committee are registered General Medical Practitioners who provide primary care medical services within Sefton, who pay a statutory and voluntary levy, or a special levy in the case of non-principal GPs.

1 Transparency of Earnings – GP Declaration of Income above £156 from NHS sources.
Deadline 30th April 2023
Having been postponed on two separate occasions – 2021 and 2022 the requirement for GPs to declare any NHS income above specified thresholds will begin in April with a deadline at the end of this month.
